When your timeline playback stutters or drops frames, you cannot edit accurately. This shortcut forces Premiere to process the heavy sections, giving you flawless, lag-free playback instantly.

Set an In point (I) and an Out point (O) around the lagging red section of your timeline, then press the Enter key. Premiere will pre-render the frames and turn the timeline bar from red to green.
