This is Resolve's power-user editing mode. It consolidates all major trimming functions into a single, context-sensitive tool, allowing experienced editors to manipulate the timeline with extreme speed and precision without ever changing tools.

Step-by-Step

Press 'T' to enter Dynamic Trim Mode. Now, where you click on a clip's edit point determines the type of trim: ripple, roll, slip, or slide. The cursor icon changes to show the active trim type.
