Toggle Shy Layers Shortcut in After Effects

Hides or shows layers marked as 'shy' in the timeline.

In complex compositions with hundreds of layers, 'shying' allows you to hide utility layers (like nulls, mattes, and cameras) that you don't need to see, dramatically cleaning up your workspace.

First, mark the layers you want to hide by clicking the 'shy' switch (the icon of a person peeking over a wall). Then, click the master 'Shy' switch at the top of the timeline panel to hide (or show) all of them at once.
